Objective: A wedding invitation and logo design for one of my best friends, Irene. She wanted the wedding theme to be rustic style, which incorporates elements such as timber, greeneries and wild, unstructured flowers.
Concept: Rustic style is about the simplicity of country life. Therefore, I have referenced from the wedding mood board and decided to create simple illustrations of burgundy roses and leaves for the invitation. The design is elevated with a touch of bronze hot foil stamping of the logo, the bride and groom's name.
For the logo, I started out designing with the letter I & S. Eventually, I came up with an idea to combine them with W (the initial of the groom's last name). The final logo emphasises on unity and balance. It is also a representation of a rose.
